    Cookie & Crumble

    Domestic Short Hair

    8 Years Old

    Cookie and his tortie sister Crumble first came to Battersea aged 2 years old in 2004. In 2007 they were back again, and then ended up in another rescue and are now back here for a third time! No wonder Cookie protects her and runs to her side. These friendly, gentle cats are looking for an extra-special home for life where they will be looked after and loved all their days.

    Cookie and Crumble are just one of several pairs of cats currently looking for new homes.

    Eva is a quiet soul who bonds strongly to her handler and has a very gentle and affectionate nature. She can at times become worried by people she doesn't know and lack confidence.

    Eva is a calm and settled girl who enjoys a routine and quiet walks in the park. Volunteers have reported she is a pleasure to walk and is the perfect walking companion.

    Eva will make a very loyal and rewarding companion. The Rottweiler is a strong minded and courageous breed. They are loyal, defending and possess confidence and physical strength.

    Oliver

    Domestic Short Hair (Cross)

    2 Years Old

    Oliver is a very handsome and intelligent boy who gets anxious and worried at times and takes a long time to take to new people and new environments. He can be defensive initially and is rather stubborn in taking his time to make new friends. Oliver is a truly independent cat, who knows his own mind and likes things to be on his terms so needs experienced owners who are used to independent, low tolerance cats.

    He will accept the odd stroke and likes company once he has built a bond with you, but needs time and space to settle into a new home and a hands off approach. He does love to play and this is a great way to interact with him once settled. Oliver also loves to go outside exploring and is showing some keen hunting skills. He is used to living in a semi rural location and would benefit from a cat flap in the home so he can come and go as he pleases.

    Missy is an easy going girl who is sociable with both people and dogs. She does have a slightly worried side but is quick to relax if handled correctly. She has had quite a well rounded upbringing and already has some good basics in place. Missy is a sweet girl who will make a lovely family pet in the right home.

    Irwin

    Domestic Short Hair (Cross)

    3 - 4 Years Old

    Irwin is a fun, chatty and lively boy that will make a friendly and playful companion once settled in his new home. He can be wary and unsure at first when in new environments or around strangers but quickly relaxes and makes friends.

    Irwin is ideally looking for a quieter home as he has a sensitive side and can get worried by lots of noise or movement. Irwin has had some bad experiences with fellow felines in the past so will need to be the only cat in his new home and would prefer to live in a location that is not too highly cat populated.

    Irwin is an active and very playful boy once he feels comfortable in an environment, due to this he would need access outside via a cat flap if owners work full-time. Irwin is a lovely boy that just needs a little time and patience while he is settling, once he trusts you he really is a friendly and affectionate boy.

    If you are looking for a dog who could demonstrate the perfect PAW, Hank would be your boy!

    Hank is a calm, no-nonsense fellow who is polite and well behaved, particularly when there are treats around!

    Handsome Hank is a sweet and cuddly chap who loves affection. He walks very nicely on the lead and loves his walks. He can be a bit sensitive initially so will need loving owners who can let him settle in his own time.

    Ditz

    Domestic Long Hair

    5 Years Old

    Ditz has a (possibly) neurological condition which causes him to have a slight tremor which becomes worse if he is agitated. It could be because of this that he arrived in such a bedraggled state that he had to have most of his fur clipped off.

    Although anxious in new situations, he has a sweetly affectionate nature and is a prancer dancer when playing with his toys. Ditz will do well in a settled home where no major lifestyle changes are anticipated.

    Kai is an under socialised boy who takes a little while to come out of his shell. Once he builds a bond with people he becomes bouncy and playful, therefore due to his size will require robust and active owners.     Tye is a gorgeous cheeky chappie. He has already some good basic training in place. He will need some ground rules in his new home. He's a great young dog with lots to give to owners who can provide him with love and long walks.

    Tom

    Domestic Short Hair

    2-3 Years Old

    Mr Tom is a true son of the streets, having been seen straying in the area for at least six months prior to being captured and brought in to Battersea (much to his indignation). He is gradually starting to learn to trust people, and as is so often the case with these stray boys, the way to his heart is through his stomach. He has even re-discovered his purr.

    Tom needs to live with someone who has had plenty of cat experience, preferably with either stray or undersocialised cats. It may take a while, but he will get there in the end with a little help from his friends.

    Dinky

    6 - 12 Month Old

    Dinky is a lively and affectionate young lady who has lots of potential. She has a natural comic character and is fun to be with.

    She will need all basic training and is an intelligent girl who will be a joy to train. She knows a SIT and DOWN and is a very enthusiastic pupil.

    She enjoys playing with toys and loves having a good game. She can get over excited easily so will need owners who will practice playing calm handling and games with her.

    She is still very young and has lots to learn about the big wide world but she will be a joy to have around.

    Dinky has spent time in a foster home and proved to settle well to home life. She picked up training quickly and was also house trained within a matter of days. She travels well and is very social with everyone she meets.

    Handsome Victor is a fun-loving and active boy who is looking for calm, patient and consistent owners who will be able to offer him the routine, ground rules and affection he deserves.

    Victor is an excitable youngster who still needs to learn the value of patience and a calmer attitude towards life, as he can at times be a little too enthusiastic in his efforts to please.

    Eggbert is a social and confident boy who has a very cheeky character and can be very comical at times. He enjoys playing with toys and loves the company of people. He is very affectionate and loves a fuss but is rarely still long enough for a real cuddle.

    When out and about Eggbert is keen to greet other dogs and enjoys a good doggy game. Eggbert could potentially live with a similar natured dog for company.

    Eggbert is very active both mentally and physically and will easily become bored if he is not given activities to keep him busy. Eggbert has some good basic training in place but has the potential to learn much more. He knows SIT and PAW and also appears house trained. He is looking for experienced owners who have trained a dog before and understand his breed.

    Eggbert will be a fun and loving and hugely rewarding addition to the right family.

    Even though he has lived a sheltered life and was initially a bundle of nerves when he arrived at the Home, lovely Stew has developed into a chatty, sociable darling who just loves company. He loves to smooch with those chubby cheeks and will spoil you with little nose kisses if you’re really lucky.

    Peanut

    Meet Peanut... he may look a little rough around the edges but this little darling is a true superstar. He is quiet and sensitive soul but he loves nothing more then strokes, strokes and more strokes. He nuzzles into you for lots of cuddles and always happy to have some company.

    Battersea screens all cats on arrival for the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Peanut has tested positive. FIV is a slow-acting virus and most infected cats live healthy and happy lives for many years. In order to protect the cat population at large from the risk of catching it and to preserve the health of the carrier, Battersea rehomes FIV+ cats to indoor homes, however, Peanut would ideally love some outside space such as a secure balcony or roof terrace.     Charlie is a happy chap who enjoys having fun. He can be excited at walkies time but is generally a lovable companion.

    In his foster home he has been a delight and with good exercise and a consistent regime he is calmer and more responsive.

    The foster carer reports Charlie has been house trained since day one, he travels very well on public transport and is always happy to greet commuters. He was also fine to be left alone for a short while and on the foster carer's return he was still enjoying a nap.

    Cleo

    2 - 3 Years Old

    Cleo charms everyone she meets with her calmness, friendly manner and willingness to please. She’s a firm favourite at Battersea and has been a great ambassador for us by starring in photoshoots, being interviewed for national newspapers and winning the heart of Classic FM presenter John Suchet. John met Cleo when he toured the home, posed for photos with her, and talked about her on his radio show, which has almost three million listeners.

    Cleo is a good-natured, well-behaved, chilled and friendly girl who loves snuggling up in her bed and snoozing, although she also has an active side and a keen interest in nature (she’s a bit of a bird watcher).

    She is happy around other dogs, and calm and affectionate with people. Cleo takes city life in her stride and could live in just about any location, and with just one person. She’s a truly lovely dog, and will make an intelligent, loyal and fun companion.
